3DrensThe ‘IoT mobility management platform not only lets fleet operators track where their vehicles are, but also produces data that helps them make business decisions. The company began operations in Taiwan, where it is based before expanding into Southeast Asia. in present Presenting at CES ‘Taiwan Tech Arena, 3DRN focuses on the growing demand for logistics during COVID-19. For example, its technology could possibly be used to enable smaller e-commerce retailers to rent unused capacity on distribution vehicles from larger platforms.
The company’s customers also come from the vehicle rental, ride haul and food delivery sectors. Founded in 2017, one of the first customers of 3rens was an electric scooter company serving mostly tourists. If the scooter was potentially involved in accidents or if a user had paid for the time, he placed an IoT box of 3Drens on the scooter to send an alert. It also generated a heat map where scooters traveled the most frequently, so the company was able to partner with popular locations and attractions.
3Drens’ platform can help logistics services choose the right type of vehicle for delivery, predict the best routes and assign new tasks to drivers on their way back after completing an order.
